Sirens of Gotham
Sirens of Gotham is an a cappella chorus that is a member of both Sweet Adelines International and Barbershop Harmony Society. Membership is open to singers of all marginalized genders who are comfortable singing somewhere in the SSAA range, which may include cis women, trans people of all gender identities, non-binary people, and gender fluid people. They seek to provide a choral experience that is safe and inclusive and reflects their core values of Ambition, Joy and Authenticity.
The Barbershop Harmony Society
Voices of Gotham is a proud chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS), a 25,000 member international organization dedicated to the celebration of the grand American tradition of barbershop harmony. The BHS works to promote barbershop as an art form, enrich lives through a cappella singing, promote fellowship and friendship among people, and provide service to our communities.
Sweet Adelines International
Sweet Adelines International is a highly respected worldwide organization of singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education, competition and performance. This independent, nonprofit music education association is one of the world's largest singing organizations for women.
Harmony Foundation International
Incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in 1959, Harmony Foundation International has lead the philanthropic programs of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Through generous gifts from members and others, the Foundation supports the many philanthropic efforts of the Society, including music camps and workshops for students and teachers, youth chorus and quartet sponsorship, adult leadership training, choral director and performance programs for our members, and donations of barbershop sheet music to schools nationwide.
Big Apple Chorus
The Big Apple Chorus (BAC) is our sibling organization, and the Manhattan, New York Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). Established in 1983, it has brought its unique interpretation of the barbershop harmony style to venues throughout the Tri-State area, and all over the world.
